Pastiche was conceptualized and incorporated by Hitesh and Deval Kamdar in 2008.
Our fascination with the vibrant colors and designs of Indian handicrafts was the inspiration behind Pastiche.
This inspiration led to the birth of a fusion boutique which showcases the work of Indian artisans blended with western style in the form of clothing and accessories.
Pastiche means “a medley of different ingredients” characterizing our boutique as a kaleidoscope of art, craft, color, design and style.
Our Clothing
The intricacies and composition of our clothing highlights the exemplary skill and labor of the Indian artisan.
Our clothing is designed using 100% hand-woven or handloom cotton with traditional crafts such as block-printing, tie-dye, chikankari, mirror-work, appliqué etc. We source our fabric as part of Fair Trade agreements with villages across different parts of India such as Gujarat, Rajasthan, Orissa and Andhra Pradesh.
Our Jewelry
Our jewelry is handcrafted in the state of Haryana using ceramic, wood, resin, metal, glass and semi precious beads. Ceramic beads are painted and glazed, while glass beads are heated and blown into different shapes and colors. Metal and wood beads are skillfully carved while semi precious beads are artistically cut and polished.
